AXS TV Remembers Prince This Weekend

Jamie Squire/Getty ImagesAXS TV will commemorate the passing of Prince this weekend with a tribute block paying respects to “The Purple One.”

The cable network will kick things off 1 p.m ET Saturday with an airing of the Prince episode of AXS TV’s Rock Legends. Immediately following will be the television premiere of the 2014 documentary Slave Trade: How Prince Re-Made the Music Business

The critically acclaimed documentary, airing at 2 p.m. Saturday, documents Prince’s entire career, beginning with his 1978 debut album, For You, through his battle with record label, Warner Bros., re-branding himself as a symbol and his historic appearance at the 2007 Superbowl. 

You’ll have another chance to view both specials again with Rock Legends: Prince airing Monday, April 25 at 7 p.m. ET and Tuesday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET and  Slave Trade: How Prince Re-Made the Music Business will be broadcast again on Monday, April 25 at 11 p.m. ET and Tuesday, April 26 at 9 p.m. ET.
