Mr. McCartney Goes to Washington: Sir Paul Adds D.C. Date to Tour

Mary McCartney/MPL CommunicationsPaul McCartney has tacked on yet another date to the North American leg of his “One on One” tour — an August 9 show at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The gig marks Sir Paul’s first concert in the nation’s capital since his July 2013 appearance at Nationals Park.

The show is sandwiched by McCartney’s August 7 performance in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and his August 13 gig in St. Louis.

Tickets for the Verizon Center show will be available to the public starting Monday, April 25, at 10 a.m. ET. Ticketmaster.com will offer a pre-sale starting Wednesday, April 20, at 10 a.m. ET; tickets can be accessed using the password 1ON1WITHPAUL. American Express card members will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets beginning Thursday, April 21, at 10 a.m. local time.
