Motley Crue‘s Vince Neil has been accused of roughing up a woman while he reportedly was hanging out with actor Nicolas Cage late Thursday afternoon outside of the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas. Local police have confirmed to ABC News that Neil was accused of grabbing a woman’s hair and dragging her to the ground at about 5:30 p.m.

The 55-year-old rocker was cited for misdemeanor battery and issued a summons, although he wasn’t taken into custody. He’s due in court to answer the charge on June 17. The rocker’s lawyer tells ABC News that he is investigating the incident, and that “people shouldn’t prejudge the situation.”

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that, according law enforcement sources, Neil allegedly grabbed the woman after she approached Cage and requested an autograph. The gossip site posted a video shot by a bystander that seems to capture the tail end of the incident.

The clip shows Cage grabbing and hugging Neil as he tries to calm him down. The actor is seen yelling, “Stop this s*** now!” at Neil as he grabs him. Vince is then heard saying, “I love you,” to which Nic responds, “I love you too.”
