PRNewsFoto/Universal Music EnterprisesBryan Adams fans can get a preview of his upcoming studio album, Get Up, by checking out the official video for the record’s lead track, “You Belong to Me,” which premiered online on Wednesday. The black-and-white clip was directed by Adams, and stars the Canadian singer, a Gibson guitar and an alluring woman in a black dress.
The video includes close-up scenes of Bryan strumming his guitar and singing, interspersed with shots of the woman flirtatiously lifting up her dress while dancing. Later in the clip, the woman appears behind Adams, wrapping her arms around the rocker and caressing his chest, shoulders and face as he keeps singing.
Stylistically, “You Belong to Me” is an upbeat tune reminiscent of classic early American rock ‘n’ roll. Fans pre-ordering the album, which will be released on October 16, immediately will receive a digital copy of the track for free. The song also can be purchased now separately on iTunes.
Get Up, was produced by Electric Light Orchestra frontman Jeff Lynne, and is Adams’ first studio album of original material since 2008. The record features nine new songs, as well as acoustic versions of four of the tracks.
You can watch the video at Bryan’s official YouTube VEVO channel and his VEVO page.
