Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks Dedicates “Landslide” to Dave Grohl

Douglas Gorenstein/NBC; Cliff Lipson/CBSStevie Nicks gave an onstage shout-out to Dave Grohl during Fleetwood Mac‘s performance Sunday at England’s Isle of Wight festival.  NME reports Nicks dedicated the song “Landslide” to the Foo Fighters frontman, who suffered a fractured leg after falling off the stage at a concert Friday in Sweden but completed the show anyway.

“I’d like to dedicate this to Dave Grohl,” Nicks said, according to NME.  “Falling off stage, getting up and playing a two-and-a-half-hour set, I think that’s awesome.”

Nicks and Grohl have worked together a number of times over the years.  She appeared in his 2013 documentary Sound City and also recorded a song with him in connection with the project.

Due to Grohl’s injury, Foo Fighters canceled their headlining performance at the Pinkpop Festival on Sunday, plus their scheduled show in Switzerland this Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac has been recovering from its own health issues.  The band was forced to cancel two shows in the U.K. leading up to the Isle of Wight festival, due to band member illness.  The Isle of Wight appearance was Fleetwood Mac’s first show back since the cancellations.
