Columbia RecordsBob Dylan has announced complete details about his upcoming studio album, Fallen Angels, which will be his second consecutive tribute to Frank Sinatra, following 2015’s Shadows in the Night. The new album will be released on May 20, and features 12 selections from the Great American Songbook, 11 of which were recorded by the late Sinatra during his long career.

Fallen Angels includes songs composed by such famous songwriters as Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen and Sammy Cahn, and includes such classic standards as “Young at Heart,” “All the Way,” “It Had to Be You,” “That Old Black Magic” and “Come Rain or Come Shine.” Dylan recorded the album with his touring band last year at Hollywood’s famous Capitol Studios, and produced it under his Jack Frost pseudonym.

Dylan’s rendition of “Melancholy Mood” is available now as a free download for those who pre-order Fallen Angels at iTunes. The track also appears on a limited-edition four-song vinyl EP of the same name that will be released next Saturday, April 16, in conjunction with the 2016 Record Store Day campaign. You can view a video featuring Bob’s version of “Melancholy Mood” at the BobDylanTV YouTube channel.
