
Danny Clinch; Mary Ellen MatthewsNeil Young and Paul Simon are among the headliners for the 2016 Beale Street Music Festival, which will be held from April 29 to May 1 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Young will perform on the festival’s first day, and will be accompanied by his current backing band, Promise of the Real, which features Willie Nelson‘s sons Lukas and Micah. Simon will hit the stage on the event’s final day.
Other veteran artists set to perform at this year’s fest include Los Lobos, Indigo Girls, Gin Blossoms, Barenaked Ladies, Beck and J. Geils Band harmonica player Magic Dick. Visit MemphisinMay.org for the full lineup and ticket info.
Interestingly, both Young and Simon also are scheduled to perform at the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, on May 1 and April 29, respectively. Neil has no other U.S. shows on his 2016 itinerary, while Paul recently announced a full North American tour that begins with the New Orleans Jazz Fest appearance and runs through a June 30 show in Forest Hills, New York.
