She’s on Twitter constantly, not only updating her fans with what’s going on, but expressing her opinions on any number of news events. She also tends to overdo it on the emojis, which is why it wasn’t surprising to hear that she’s launching her own line of them, just like Kim Kardashian did. But the diva admits that, really, she should stay away from Twitter at her age.
“My tweeting is kind of all over the place because some of it’s really funny and some it I just wanna bite people’s heads off,” she told ABC Radio a few years back. “If you lay yourself out there with being so opinionated, you get so much hate stuff and the hate stuff usually makes me laugh more than anything else. I get a big kick out of that!”
“I’m at that place where I really shouldn’t be allowed to tweet,” she added, “I’m kind of at, like, the ‘old crazy aunt’ level — everybody calls me the crazy old aunt — where you just don’t let her tweet.”
Cher also admitted that her son Chaz Bono “just kind of rolls his eyes” at her Twitter feed. But as she quite rightly pointed out, “You’re used to your children rolling their eyes at you, no matter what you do!”
The bulk of Cher’s tweets lately have concerned her outrage over the water contamination issue in Flint, Michigan — she recently donated more than 180,000 bottles to the city’s residents — as well as her thoughts on the various presidential candidates.
