The Who Featured on New Soundtrack to “Aquarius” TV Series

Image Courtesy of UMeMusic from the Original Series Aquarius, a new 15-song soundtrack from the NBC series, is available now at all major digital service providers. And it’s a diverse collection to say the least!  The album opens with The Who‘s classic “I Can See for Miles” and also includes their hit “The Seeker.”  But beyond that, it boasts songs by legendary vocalists like Frank Sinatra and Nina Simone, psychedelic rockers The Chocolate Watchband and Count Five and Motown saxophone legend Junior Walker.

Since the ’60s-themed series revolves around a Los Angeles homicide detective’s hunt for Charles Manson, the soundtrack fittingly features a song by Manson himself, as well as one by actor actor David Duchovny, who stars in Aquarius as homicide detective Sam Hodiak.

NBC announced Thursday that the series — which airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT but also was made available in its entirety for online viewing — has been renewed for a second season.
