The Rolling Stones in 2015 (Credit: Kevin Mazur)The Rolling Stones started up their America Latina Olé Tour Wednesday night at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile, with a 19-song set packed with classic tunes. The rock legends kicked thing off, appropriately, with “Start Me Up” and finished with a two-song finale of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
In addition to classics like “Paint It Black,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Miss You,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Sympathy for the Devil,” the band performed the rarely played 1967 gem “She’s a Rainbow,” which chosen by fans in an online poll, and “Out of Control,” a single from 1997’s Bridges to Babylon album. Guitarist Keith Richards also took his usual two-song turn at the mic during the show, delivering lead vocals on “You Got the Silver” and “Happy.”
The Rolling Stones’ official website documented the concert by collecting posts from various Twitter accounts that included song-by-song photos and comments. The band also posted a brief video clip of its performance of “Start Me Up.” In addition, you can check out a fan-filmed video of the group performing “She’s a Rainbow” on YouTube.
The Stones’ next concert is scheduled for this Sunday, February 7, at La Plata Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the first of three shows at the venue. You can check out the group’s full itinerary at RollingStones.com.
