On Sunday, the singer/songwriter shared a photo on Instagram of her and pro football player Charlie Whitehurst backstage at the Alejandro Escovedo Experience: The Leonard Cohen Influence in Austin, Texas.
A day later, Jewel, 41, posted another photo of Whitehurst, 33, on the field at the Alabama-Clemson college football championship game.
“They met in Nashville and have been dating for a while — they went to France together,” an insider tells People magazine. “He treats her amazingly well and is a great guy. She’s really happy.”
Jewel split from her husband, world champion rodeo cowboy Ty Murray, in 2014 after six years of marriage. They have a four-and-a-half-year-old son, Kase Townes.
