Image Courtesy of Big Machine AgencyEddie Money recently kicked off a new series of U.S. concerts that he’s dubbed The Sound of Money Tour, and joining him on stage for the shows are three talented young musicians who also happen to be his kids. The soulful pop-rock singer’s daughter Jesse is singing backing vocals for him, while his sons Dez and Julian are being featured on guitar and drums, respectively.
Money currently has 25 dates on his schedule, which runs from a show tonight, June 19, in Santa Cruz, California, all the way through a December 28 gig in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. At select dates, Dez Money and his own band, The Faze, will be the opening act.
“This is the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music, a story about a very talented music family, so we decided to call the tour with the kids The Sound of Money tour,” Eddie explains. “The tour has a new twist on all of my greatest hits plus new songs with the kids.”
The 66-year-old singer explains that the tour is giving him the opportunity to bond with his children “and actualizing a dream of mine by showcasing their talent on stage.”
