DXXNYC.comThe Black Girls Rock! special is coming back to BET for its third televised installment, and this time around, the legendary Dionne Warwick will be among the luminaries honored for their achievements. The veteran pop singer will be presented with the Living Legend Award. Acclaimed R&B artist Alicia Keys, meanwhile, will receive the Rock Star Award.
The Black Girls Rock! ceremony will be taped later this month at the Loews Paradise Theatre in New York City, and will air Sunday, November 4, on BET. The show will include performances and appearances by a variety of music stars including Brandy, India.Arie, Keyshia Cole and Ciara.
ABC's Scandal star Kerry Washington, journalist Susan Taylor and human-rights activist Dr. Hawa Abdi also will be presented with special awards during the show.
