Connecticut Valley Home Care & Hospice presents: Is adult day care an option for your loved one?; An Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders Support Group. The event will be at Buckley Left at Valley Regional Hospital, 243 Elm St., Claremont, NH. it will be held on Tuesday, August 13, from 6:30-8pm. 9th Annual Chicken BBQ


Drive through and pick up your grub every Wednesday in August rain or shine! Located on Heater Rd., in Lebanon, NH from 3-6pm. Half chicken, baked potato, cole slaw and a roll for only $8! BPOE. Dessert sold seperately for $1.50. The meals will be sponsored by the Lebanon Emblem Club #358 and will benefit Upper Valley Charities.

Ham and Bean Supper


The Enfield United Methodist Church is having a Ham and Bean Supper on Friday, August 8, from 5-6:30pm. The supper will be held at the Enfield Methodist Fellowship Hall, Rt. 4, Enfield, NH. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for ages 5-10, and children age 4 and under are free. Take out is available and the menu contains homemade baked beans; ham; cole slaw; homemade pies; rolls; hot dogs and beverages.

Upper Valley Crafters 18th Annual Summer Festival


Upper Valley Crafters is hosting their 18th Annual Summer Festival Saturday, August 9, from 9am-3pm. The festival will take place at Colburn Park in Lebanon, NH. Local crafters with handmade items for sale. There will be lunch available for sale which helps support local elementary school art programs and David's House. Vendor spaces are still available. 34th Annual Fireman's Auction and Tag Sale


The Ludlow Fire Department will be holding their 34th Annual Fireman's Auction and Tag Sale on Saturday, August 30 at the Ludlow Fire Station on Rt. 103. The Tag Sale starts at 8:30am so get there early! New items, used items, antiques, and gift certificates aplenty. Each year the money raised is used to purchase new equipment for the department. Food and beverages will be available throughout the day.

Humane Society Fundraiser


The New England School of Hair Design is incorporating a fundraiser into their curriculum! Paws and Claws, manicures and pedicures, for the Humane Society from 4-7pm on August 14. All proceeds will go to the Humane Society. They are also accepting food and supplies for their month long food and supply drive.

Townwide BBQ and Yardsale


On Saturday, August 16, Grafton, NH is having a townwide BBQ and yardsale! the event is being sponsored by Friends of the Grafton Library. Donations for the yardsale are being accepted. For more information please stop in the library or contact them at (603) 523-7865.

Springfield Hospital Golf Challenge


Mark your calenders for Thursday, September 18 because the Springfield Hospital Golf Challenge will take place at 12 noon, at the Okemo Valley Golf Club, in Ludlow, Vt. Enjoy friendly competition, comradery, and beautiful fall foliage! the cost is $150 per person to play with lunch and dinner included, and $500 to sponsor a hole. Spaghetti and Meatball Sub Buffet


The United Church of Cornish will hold a spaghetti buffet or meatball subs all you can eat meal for only $6! The dinner will take place on Friday and Saturday, August 15th and 16th, from 11am-7pm. Memorial Motorcycle Ride for Jennifer Bixby


The ride will take place at The Ascutney Farmstand located at 5585 Rt. 5 in Ascutney, VT, on Saturday, August 9. Registration starts at 10am and kick stands go up at 11am. Half the proceeds will go into a trust fund for the children and the other half will go into a scholarship in Jen's name. We are hoping for a $20 donation from each rider. Not a requirement but a suggested amount. You can donate less or more if you would like. If you do not have a motorcycle but would like to donate anyways please stop in at The Ascutney Farm Stand on the 9th from 11am-5pm. Donations can also be made to the Jennifer Bixby Memorial Fund, c/o Taylor Meyette at the River Valley Credit Union, 34 Clinton St., Springfield, VT 05156.

Bike Blessing


Attention motorcycle riders! There will be a Bike Blessing on Saturday, August 9, from 10am-2pm. The event will be taking place across from the Cornish General Store on Rt.120 in Cornish, NH.
