Eagle Rock EntertainmentThe Moody Blues wound down their 2015 tour schedule with a June 27 performance at the U.K.’s Glastonbury Festival, and now frontman Justin Hayward is turning his attention to his planned solo acoustic performances. The singer/guitarist has a previously announced U.S. trek scheduled to kick off on August 19 in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and he recently tacked on more than a dozen dates that will see him on the road until late September.
The newly added shows run from a September 1 concert in Kent, Ohio, through a September 23 gig in Napa, California, and also include a two-night stand in Chicago and stops in Nashville; St. Louis; Kansas City, Missouri; Wichita, Kansas; Boulder, Colorado; and Oakland, California. The trek is billed as “An Intimate Evening with Justin Hayward: The Watching & Waiting Tour,” and the concerts will feature an opening set by Hayward’s backing guitarist Mike Dawes.
First up for Justin, however, is a series of U.K. shows mapped out from a concert tomorrow night, July 2, in Porthcawl through a July 13 performance in Truro.
In other news, Hayward recently debuted a new live video featuring him performing the 1971 Moody Blues hit “The Story on Your Eyes” with accompaniment from a string quartet. Watch the clip now by visiting JustinHaywardUnlock.com.
