Sting Lines Up New Series of North American Concerts

Peter Kramer/NBCSting is gearing up to bring his Back 2 Bass Tour back to North America during the late spring and early summer.  The former Police man's upcoming trek will feature dates across the U.S. and Canada, launching with a May 30 show in Kelowna, British Columbia, and running through a June 26 stop in St. John's, Labrador.

Sting will be accompanied on the outing by a five-piece group that includes founding E Street Band keyboardist David Sancious, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, guitarist Dominic Miller, electric fiddle player Peter Tickell and backing vocalist Jo Lawry.

Among the interesting stops on the tour will be a June 2 appearance in San Francisco at America's Cup Pavilion, a new venue being constructed on the city's waterfront that will host a variety of events in conjunction with the 2013 edition of the America's Cup boat race.  Sting also has scheduled a series of European shows that will take place following the stateside trek.
