A 42-year-old man was found dead at Olivia Newton-John's Jupiter, Florida, home on Monday, police tell ABC News.
A Jupiter Police spokesman says the man's identity and his cause of death will be released after an autopsy scheduled for this morning. The man did however suffer a gunshot wound.
A contractor hired by the pop star discovered the man's body on Monday afternoon. Newton-John and husband John Easterling were not at home at the time of the man's death, police said.
In a statement provided to ABC News Radio, Newton-John's publicist says, "Olivia and her husband John are in shock over the tragic event that occurred at their Florida home yesterday. At this time we are awaiting additional information from investigators but, can confirm that the couple was not in Florida at the time and, the deceased was not a family member."
