UMeA new full-length preview clip from Hollywood Vampires, the all-star tribute album organized by Alice Cooper and big-screen superstar Johnny Depp, has debuted online.  The collective’s rendition of The Who‘s “My Generation” can be heard in its entirety now at the Hollywood Vampires VEVO channel.

The song is a hard-rocking, relatively faithful version of the classic 1966 tune that features Alice on lead vocals, Johnny and Cooper band mate Tommy Henriksen on guitars, frequent Depp collaborator Bruce Witkin on bass, and longtime Who touring member Zak StarkeyRingo Starr‘s son — on drums.

As previously reported, Hollywood Vampires pays homage to some of the late rock stars that Cooper partied with during the 1970s as part of an informal drinking club of the same name.  One of the shock rocker’s fellow club members was The Who’s Keith Moon, which is why Alice chose to record a tune by the band.

Three other tracks from the Hollywood Vampires album had previously been posted at the project’s VEVO channel — an original tune titled “Dead Drunk Friends,” a cover of Spirit‘s “I Got a Line on You” and a medley combining Cooper’s own “School’s Out” and Pink Floyd‘s “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2.”

Other guest artists featured on Hollywood Vampires include Paul McCartney, Aerosmith‘s Joe Perry, AC/DC‘s Brian Johnson, Joe Walsh, The DoorsRobby Krieger, Slash, Dave Grohl and Perry Farrell.  The album will be released on September 1.
