To celebrate the launch of the tour and the arrival of the DVD, the singer/guitarist has scheduled a special event on Monday, May 9, at the Kendall Square Cinema in the Boston suburb of Cambridge, Massachusetts, that will feature a screening of highlights from the concert film, the premiere of a new song and music video by Justin, and a Q&A session.

Appearing with Hayward at the event will be David Minasian, who co-wrote Justin’s new tune, and directed and produced the accompanying video and Live in Concert at the Capitol Theatre. Minasian also has worked with Hayward on a couple of other video projects, including his 2014 DVD Spirits…Live.

Fans who attend the May 9 event will receive a copy of Live in Concert at the Capitol Theatre and a poster signed by Justin. Those who can’t attend the screening and Q&A in person will be able to watch it streamed live online. Special bundles offering tickets to the show or access to the live stream, combined with a copy of the new DVD and various pieces of commemorative Hayward merchandise, are available for purchase now at JustinHayward.com. Hayward also will be selling the DVD at all stops on his upcoming “Stage Door” solo tour.

Live at the Capitol Theatre captures a recent performance by Justin in Clearwater, Florida. The show features Hayward, accompanied by guitarist Mike Dawes and keyboardist/backing singer Julie Ragins, playing a variety of classic Moody Blues tunes, including “Tuesday Afternoon,” “Your Wildest Dreams,” “Question” and “Nights in White Satin.” It also includes some lesser-known Moodies gems, a few songs from Hayward’s 2013 solo album, Spirits of the Western Sky, and a trio of tunes from Blue Jays, Justin’s 1975 collaborative album with Moody Blues band mate John Lodge. As an added bonus, the DVD features the epic eight-minute music video for Hayward’s new song.

The U.S. leg of Hayward’s Stage Door tour officially gets underway on May 11 in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and runs through a June 24 concert in Mount Vernon, Washington.
